This year’s golf classic recognizes our good Friend of The Garden
Proudly sponsored by
Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC
WOW, what a golf outing! We had our most successful golf classic to date! Nothing stopped it from being a perfect day, not even the 70% chance of rain which gratefully disappeared into a cloudy and breezy afternoon, a golfers delight!
It is our privilege to offer our heartfelt appreciation to Janney Montgomery Scott for their generous support of The Garden of Reflection over many years and for being our TITLE Sponsor for the fifth year in a row! Janney has brought unparalleled financial support to our golf outing for the past fifteen years. Chris Haidinger, Bob and Frank Weckenman, and Ed Sherwood have not only been financial leaders but they have been participants in the outing since inception. They are joined by Jerry Lombard, president of the PCG at Janney, who has been steadfast in his commitment to The Gardenalong with his advisors. We thank the entire Janney family!
We also wish to thank all of our sponsors for their continued support of this year’s Golf Classic. Erich Bay, husband of Bucks County victim Lorraine Bay is committed to the preservation of the memorial and joined us as a Platinum Sponsor. Tunnels2Towers-Siller foursome was back and we welcomed them and Distinctive Services to our outing this year with their Platinum Sponsorship as well. McCaffrey’s Markets was our Lunch Sponsor for the fifteenth consecutive year, thank you Jim! Previously honored friends Kathleen and Chip Brower were once again our Silver sponsors joined by Hedda and Hugh Chairnoff who lost their son Jeffrey that fateful day. As we rolled in from a fun day, The Philadelphia Trust Company welcomed all with a drink as Reception Sponsor. The Bucks County Commissioners made it possible for golfers to walk away with a sleeve of balls; making up for the ones in the woods! The Bucks County Herald helped us get our endowment fundraising message out. Parx Casino joined us as the Longest Drive sponsor. Bucks County TMA and Deon Beverage helped quench thirsty golfers on the course as Beverage Sponsors while Steve Wooldridge of First Partners Abstract sponsored the Putting Contest making it an all-around great day!
Our deepest appreciation is extended to all the other Sponsors and Donors and to our volunteers, golfers and dinner guests. We are grateful for your kindness and generosity! Your continued support allows us to enjoy beautiful days and have a cocktail hour with open bar to help our golfers wind down after a great day of golf at the elegant Jericho National Golf Club.
Eric Stark, thank you for your constant support in all aspects of The Garden, including co-chairing this main fundraising effort. Thank you to Jayne Ortendahl, Beth McNamara and Donna Kirn, for all their work organizing our silent auction. Laura Carroll and Sherry Stark recently joined our golf committee and we thank them for their contributions, especially to our auction! John Ortendahl and Sal Caimano round out our golf committee and provide much needed comic relief, as well as securing many wonderful auction and raffle items. Ellen Saracini, you ARE the driving force behind the creation, and now the preservation, of the9-11 Memorial Garden of Reflection. Your persistence and sense of Mission have inspired us ALL to keep moving forward and to Never Forget!
We also wish to acknowledge the pilots who have attended every year and participate in additional fundraising efforts and Remembrance Ceremonies. You guys have never wavered in your commitment to remember fallen brothers and sisters, and we appreciate your incredible support of The Garden with all our hearts.
So, we thank YOU ALL for your years of support. Your dedication has continued to make this outing a huge success. The Garden of Reflection Golf Committee and Family Members appreciate all of your contributions that go directly to the “Remembrance Fund” endowment to preserve the integrity of the memorial in perpetuity. Our hope is that you and your families will enjoy this beautiful, peaceful and moving memorial for many years, and that future generations will always have a place to remember and reflect on the events of September 11, 2001 and the innocent lives we lost that horrific day.
